Upcoming field day - August 12 at 121 Smith Corners Road Madrid, NY. 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm
Our group is the CALS Bioenergy Feedstock Project. This field day is on the Tom Lee farm. We planted a 5 acre strip trial of switchgrass and big blue stem mono-cultures and mixes in spring 2007. Mr. Lee has recently planted 14 acres on his own as a result of the success of the 2007 trial. We will have researchers and representatives from bioenergy industry interested in purchasing grasses at the field day.
We will be serving lunch so we are asking interested attendees to contact me by phone or email to preregister. They can also contact Stephen Canner at the St Lawrence CCE.
