For 7 years, work has been continuing relative to upstream land management, runoff water monitoring and lake weed beds in several Conesus Lake subwatersheds. The funding from USDA Cooperative Science, Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES) for the research portions of this project has ended. It is time for a summary and outreach session relative to the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) and water quality changes.
Please join us for a tour and meeting on August 19 starting at Long Point Park. This is a split day tour with upstream practices being featured in early afternoon and lake practices in late afternoon.
You are welcome to register for part or all of the tour, but please pre-register by August 12th as space is limited. We need numbers to plan our handout materials, lunches and boats. There is a registration fee of $10.00 to cover the cost of materials and lunch. You may sign up for the entire day or for either the land management portion or the lake portion. There is no fee if you sign up for the lake portion only.
