12:30 to 1:00 pm‐ Registration at USDA-NRCS Big Flats Plant Materials Center, Corning, New York

1:00 to 3:30 pm‐ Tour of Big Flats PMC

3:30 to 4:30 pm‐ Empire/Keystone Chapter Informal Meeting

4:30 to 6:30 pm‐ Catered dinner at Big Flats PMC

6:30 to 7:30 pm‐ Travel to Robert H. Treman State Park in Ithaca, New York (http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/135/details.aspx)

7:30 pm‐ Group camping site reserved for SWCS for Friday overnight.

Saturday July 31, 2010

8:30 to 8:45 am‐ Travel from state park to Oechsner Organic Farm in Newfield, NY

8:45 to 9:40 am‐ Tour with Thor Oechsner of his organic farming operation.

9:40 to 10:20 am‐ Travel to Danby, NY‐visit 20 acre WHIP site with warm season grasses/forbs

10:20 to 11:00am‐ Travel from Danby, NY to Atwater Vineyards in Hector, NY on Seneca Lake

11:00 to 11:45 am‐ Meet with Atwater Vineyard Manager to discuss viticulture.

11:45 to 12:15 pm‐ SWCS tour concludes with wine tasting at Atwater Vineyards.
